Have no idea what to do with expire coupons??

Many consumers have been clipping coupons to save money for years. With the recent April 6, 2011 premiere of "Extreme Couponing" even more people are clipping coupons to save money. We all know that once our coupons have been clipped and sorted through, we need to keep track of what we have and when the coupons will expire. We all know that expired coupons are not useful to us. Many people are throwing away coupons in the trash and do not realize how valuable they really are.  Coupons that are expired are very valuable to our U.S. Troops and their families overseas. They can benefit from our expired coupons and those coupons we do not intend to use. The Overseas Coupon Program (OCP) was founded in December 1992 by Becky Thane. Becky's small idea snowballed into a huge Coupon Project from just sending coupons to her former post in Germany to now this wonderful Program, and our U.S. Troops and their families continue to benefit from it and they continue to need our help. The program serves military families by assisting you to forward "manufacturer's coupons" to overseas military bases. The bundles of coupons will be placed on tables at the PX and Commissary, or handed out for use by U.S. military members and families on base. Together we can help military families so they can save valuable dollars to stretch there budget just like we are here in the United States. The OCP is not a tax deductible charity it is a patriotic charity. I have adopted a military base. The military base I adopted is Okinawa, Japan (USAF). You can adopt the military base I chose or choose another one that needs to be adopted. If you choose to adopt the military base that I adopted all I ask is that you send a small letter letting them know that you found out about this Program through DebrasDollars, I would very much appreciate it, the base I adopted will know who I am.
The OCP recommends that you Do Not send any coupons older than 2 months expired on the date of shipment. The coupons can be used for a couple of months after that. We need to take into consideration that the volunteers need time to process the coupons once they arrive and hand them out to be used. So lets be considerate when we send them and leave them enough time for the families to sort through the coupons so they can find the ones they want to use. All coupons that are sent must say "Manufacturer's coupon". If you would like to learn more about the Overseas Coupon Program visit www.ocpnet.org. Be sure to read everything over as the OCP has instructions and special request's to help make it easier when the coupons arrive.
