smartecard Review & Giveaway

Do you find it difficult to find one photo that best represents your family for your Christmas cards? I have a solution for you that is quick, easy and fun! You can create your own electronic cards for Christmas or any occasion in the comfort of your home with several photos in just a few minutes, in five easy steps from start to finish with smartecard.

First let me tell you a little bit about smartecard. This service is an electronic greeting card product. Their philosophy is to help non-profit organizations, help donors and help the environment. You can create a smartecard by simply donating $1 per email address that you send your card to, by using PayPal's secure processing service.  After opening a smartecard account in your account profile you are able to choose a charity from the list, which you can change to another charity at any time. Three organizations qualifies as a charitable tax deduction. I chose "Homes For Our Troops" for my charity.

Here are the five easy steps to create and personalize your card which will be viewed as a slide show if you choose more than one photo.

Step 1: Choose your card design

Step 2: Upload your edited photos, drag & drop and customize message adding text, transition effects, and picture resizing & rotation.

Step 3: Choose your music

Step 4: Preview your card- It will be in a slide show

Step 5: Save your card, upload email addresses and send your card

I found this service to be lot of fun and easy to use. I was able to create and personalizing my card in just a matter of minutes. The card that I made had four images and was viewed as a slideshow. There are many categories to choose from to find a card. The upload speed for my high quality photos was fast. There was a variety of music to choose from, and I was able to drag and drop the images in the order of my choosing. I was also able to preview my card before I sent it.  One thing I noticed is if you do not choose your music it will send the card with the default music which is Jingle Bells. The recipient will have the option to turn on or off the music when they are ready to view their card.

I recommend smartecard because it is easy to use, is a lot of fun and helps a charity as well as the environment. You can connect with smartecard on facebook and twitter.
