After downloading and installing the My Memories Suite software I starting clicking on the different buttons so I could get familiar with it before I started my creations. After I had gone through everything it was time to find a design. I chose a really cute pink design for my daughter. I noticed immediately that even after choosing a template design I could still make it my own, and not just by adding photos but by actually moving around each layer of the design. I was able to overlap each layer as well as cut things, delete unwanted shapes and embellishments, as well as add to it. It was really fun to create it and I was ready for more after creating just one.
Next I chose to work on something for my youngest son Nicholas. Last week Nick's Science Fair project was chosen to go to County to compete with others. Thursday he was at the local College to talk with the judges about his project. Friday he was at the College for the Awards ceremony. He was disappointed that he didn't get anything to take home. I explained to him that even though he didn't get money, a trophy, a plaque or another award like some of the others received I told him he still gets to take something home "his memories" and just the fact that he was selected was an honor and he should be proud of his accomplishment. I know I am. I wanted to give him something from me so that he never forgets these past few days. It's not an award but it's something he will always have because I've started him a scrapbook. Maybe at the end of the school year he will be recognized with a certificate from his teacher during the Awards ceremony at school.
Last I created a design for my oldest son Anthony. Anthony wanted to help so I chose the background and the photo, and he chose everything else including colors, shadows, embellishments and shapes. He did a great job picking everything for his design and we both created it together.
I've a lot of fun using this software program, and as you can see even kids can have a lot of fun too! You don't have to spend hours trying to figure out how to use it because it's simple right from the start. There is an online tutorial but the software is pretty simple to use and I believe if you just take the time to click on each button to find out what everything is for before diving in you probably won't need the tutorial. I did find that while adding some of the shapes or embellishments it slowed down a little kind of like lagging but, it was all worth it. However I highly recommend My Memories Suite because there are endless creation possibilities.
