These requirements are very friendly for a modern PC. However, if you have been playing Diablo II all these years and has not replaced your PC since, then your PC can use a little retirement and you could use a new gaming PC.

When going for a gaming PC, most people would think of Alienware and other fancy stuff. However, a gaming PC need not be so expensive. In fact, you can build yourself a faster PC for less the price. You can do this by simply assembling your own PC. If you d not know the whats and hows of PC assembly, then here's a guide on what you should know.

CPU
First off, your assembly should start at the CPU. This will determine the overall speed of your PC; of course, the faster the speed, the better. However, you should balance this out with your budget and you would not need one that is very powerful since Diablo III is not as taxing as we have expected. To run Diablo 3, you should at least have a Pentium D processor or something equivalent. This processor is pretty outdated by now and its difference in price with AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 5600+ 2.8 GHz is not that big. I building your PC around Athlon 64 X2 or or Intel Core 2 Duo. However, the choice is still yours.

Graphics Card
Second is the graphics card. This is another expensive yet essential component for a good graphics. When possible, go for NVIDIA® GeForce® 260 or ATI Radeon™ HD 4870 or better. However, if you are on a tight budget, you can opt to go for an older model and simply replace it later if you have the budget.

Motherboard
This is where your parts will be fitted. Simply select the motherboard that has the appropriate CPU and Graphics card slot for the ones that you have selected. For a reference regarding which type of slots you need, check this motherboard CPU socket wiki

RAM When selecting a RAM, select one with at least 1.5 GB memory that will fit your motherboard. The shop's sales personnel should be able to help you with this if you are buying the motherboard and the RAM from the same place.

Monitor Having a new monitor is not necessary. However, having a 720p or 1080p (for larger monitors) can really take your gaming experience on a new level. If you are tight on budget and do not have the resource for a new one, seeing some Staples online coupons may change your mind.
