Diet Doc makes fabulous weight loss soups, bars, shakes as well as "fatless" cooking oil and salad dressings that are perfectly formulated for the hCG diet. The hCG diet was initially created over 60 years ago by Dr. A.T.W. Simeaons where his patients achieved rapid weight loss when the human -produced hCG hormone was given in a low dose, coupled with a 500 calories per day diet. Diet Doc is the only modern day version of the hCG weight loss diet. The doctors at Diet Doc took the original Dr. Simeon' hCG diet protocol and updated it to one where dieters can consume no less than 800 calories per day in conjunction with prescription level hCG injections or sublingual tablets. Each dieter also consumes hCG diet foods, weight loss shakes and weight loss oil specifically created for an hCG diet. The Diet Doc weight loss program is a medical weight loss diet in which each person receives a comprehensive medical review of his/her health history to make sure that they are a good candidate for the Diet Doc diet.
I have not actually tried the hCG Drops or full diet yet, but I will be soon beings I had a taste of what I can eat on the diet. The 3 soups that I tried were Diet Doc Chicken Gumbo, Diet Doc Steak Soup and Diet Doc Chili. These soups contain the 3 meats that I usually eat which is why I chose them. However I could have tried their Diet Doc Thai Chicken Soup as well as Diet Doc Hot & Sour Soup. I failed to take pictures of the pre packaged food but it came in your standard sealed labeled packets. I did take photos of the final product which I feel is most important.
The first soup that I tried was the Diet Doc Chicken Gumbo. I have never had Chicken Gumbo before and with this being my first time having it even though it was pre packaged I really liked it. I was able to add my own fresh (limited) ingredients to it like celery, chicken and tomatoes. The reason why I say limited is because there's only so many ingredients you can put into it for it to be the amount you want to eat while on the hCG diet. I followed the simple recipe instructions that it came with, and it didn't take long at all. I would say the soup was made and ready to eat in 20 minutes or so. I had leftover chicken already so this cut my time in half. I was able to taste every ingredient in it and it was a really delicious healthy soup. I would definitely eat this again, and it did fill me up. The only thing I could find wrong with this was that it had just a tad bit to much of Thyme in it, but overall it was yummy. I'm not sure how many calories are in this soup but you simply add chicken and vegetables.
The next soup that I tried was the Diet Doc Steak Soup. This was like a treat having steak on a diet? I added in my own limited fresh ingredients such as black beans and mushrooms. I prepared the dish in about 20-25 minutes. To be honest I really didn't like the taste of the soup but I ate it all, and it filled me up. There was just to much of one spice that I couldn't pick out. This is one of those dishes that if I were to order it in a restaurant I would probably ask for something different. I just wasn't fond of the flavor at all. The Diet Doc Steak Soup is only 20 calories per serving - just add meat and vegetables. I apologize the next 2 photos were taken from my phone because my camera needed new batteries so the quality of the photo's aren't as nice as the first photo that I took.
The last soup that I tried was the Diet Doc Chili. This took about 20-25 minutes to prepare and I used lean beef as well as kidney beans, low sodium fire roasted tomatoes, and tomato paste. I really love chili and this tasted just like the chili I make. It was perfect in every way and I would definitely have this again. It was healthy, filling and also delicious. If you're a big fan of Chili this is way up there with regular chili recipes. The Diet Doc Chili Soup is only 20 calories per serving- just add chicken and any vegetables.
All of the soup spices were prepackaged. I'm not exactly sure what's all in each of the packets as far as spices but for each dish you need to hydrate the spices in water for 10 minutes before you get started preparing your soup. They serve a family of 4 depending on how much you are going to eat. I filled my bowls up but being on the hCG Diet Plan I'm sure there is a limit as to how much you are allowed to eat. I learned that it's important that you measure each ingredient with these pre packaged foods from Diet Doc if you want to stay in the guidelines and be compliant while being on the hCG Diet Plan. The nice thing about these soups is that you can also serve them to your family while you are dieting and they can eat healthier too.
Each person has their own unique flavor palate so what might not taste good to one person may taste good to another. These soups did not taste like diet food with that said I do recommend Diet Doc Pre Packaged Weight Loss Foods. They are fast and easy to make and can be used in conjunction with the hCG Diet Plan or any weight loss program as well as no diet at all. Great product for Losing Weight for the Holidays too. It's important to remember that Diet Doc does not support the old, unsafe 500 calorie per day Dr. Simeons. You can read more about these and other food products that Diet Doc has to offer by visiting their website.
Diet Doc would like to giveaway 3 soups to one lucky DebrasDollars reader. The winner will get to choose which 3 soups they would like from Diet Docs (Chili, Steak Soup, Hot & Sour Soup and Chicken Gumbo or Thai Chicken).
